Sun Conjunct Sun. The Meeting of Kings. The geometry of pure reinforcement.
This is the most powerful and overwhelming aspect in synastry. It is the 0° angle—the Conjunction. In this aspect, there is no geometry of friction (square) or flow (trine); there is only fusion.
When Person A’s Sun creates a conjunction with Person B’s Sun (e.g., two Aries Suns, or a Leo and a Leo), you are not looking at a partnership in the traditional sense. You are looking at a single, amplified entity.
The Blind Spot
When two Suns are at the exact same degree, they occupy the same space. You cannot see your partner objectively because they are standing directly "on top" of your own ego.
Loss of Perspective: In this relationship, you lose the ability to gain an outside opinion from your partner. They are your opinion. They validate your worldview instantly because it is identical to theirs.
The Blinding Light: Just as you cannot stare directly into the Sun without going blind, you often cannot see the flaws in this partner because their light is blindingly bright and feels exactly like your own vitality.

Seeing Oneself in the Other. The danger of the Conjunction is the total collapse of boundaries.
The Mirrorless Room: Unlike an opposition, which acts as a mirror showing you what you lack, the conjunction acts as an echo chamber reinforcing what you are. You are not falling in love with a separate "other"; you are often falling in love with a reflection of yourself.
Ego Inflation: When your partner praises you, they are praising themselves. When you defend them, you are defending your own ego. This can lead to a dangerous feedback loop where both partners become convinced of their mutual superiority, untethered from reality.
Identity Confusion: Over time, it becomes nearly impossible to distinguish where you end and they begin. You finish each other’s sentences not out of empathy, but because you are running the exact same operating system.
Infinite Gravity. If the fusion holds—if the egos do not repel each other due to the sheer heat—this aspect creates a gravitational pull that is hard to escape.
The Power Couple: If these two Suns align on a mission, they are unstoppable. There is no internal debate, no hesitation, and no compromise needed. They move with the singular focus of a laser beam.
Scorched Earth: The intensity of this bond can be destructive to everything outside of it. The couple becomes so self-contained and self-referential that they may burn bridges, ignore friends, or destroy external structures that don't align with their shared "truth."
The energy output is enormous. This relationship is rarely quiet. It is either a massive, shining star that organizes a whole solar system around it, or it creates a black hole where no outside light can enter.
